Update on Cycle Routes

Update on Cycle Routes

As everyone must know by now, the Dublin Transportation Office (DTO) is responsible for co-ordinating the implementation of the Dublin Transport Initiative. An important part of the DTI is the provision of cycle lanes. These are in the process of being designed and in some cases have got as far as being built.

Members who live anywhere near a proposed route should have recently received from DCC, details of the cycle route nearest them. We asked you to write to Christy O’Sullivan in the Environmental Traffic Planning Division of the Corpo to give positive feedback - if you haven’t done so yet, there’s still time: just because it may be past the official deadline, it’s not too late.

To remind you, the proposed routes in the Strategic Cycle Network Plan are from the following places to the City Centre: Tallaght, Rathfarnham, Clonskeagh, Clondalkin, Swords and Ashtown. (RV)
