The Dublin Cycling Campaign is an independent, voluntary lobby group that has been working to improve the city for all cyclists for over a decade and a half.
Aims and Objectives
Aims and Objectives
Some time has been spent at meetings recently attempting to revamp the Aims and Objectives of the Campaign to take account of changing circumstances - for example, to enable us to respond to the Luas controversy, to have a position on the Corpo’s giving cycling priority, and to capitalise on the change of attitude towards cycling among politicians - even at ministerial level.
More work needs to be done but what we are pushing for is:
- Doubling the number of cyclists in Dublin;
- Safer road space for cyclists;
- Security for bicycles;
- Planning for people;
- Helping today’s children to be tomorrow’s cyclists.
