Aims and Objectives

Some time has been spent at meetings recently attempting to revamp the Aims and Objectives of the Campaign to take account of changing circumstances - for example, to enable us to respond to the Luas controversy, to have a position on the Corpo’s giving cycling priority, and to capitalise on the change of attitude towards cycling among politicians - even at ministerial level.

More work needs to be done but what we are pushing for is:

  • Doubling the number of cyclists in Dublin;
  • Safer road space for cyclists;
  • Security for bicycles;
  • Planning for people;
  • Helping today’s children to be tomorrow’s cyclists.
