Cyclist.ie Submission to RSA on Road Safety Strategy, 2013-2020.

Ireland's National Cycling Lobby Group Cyclist.ie (of which Dublin Cycling Campaign is a member) has just made a submission to the Road Safety Authority (RSA) to feed into the formulation of the Road Safety Strategy 2013-2020: /sites/dublincycling.ie/files/users/9/rsa_strategy_2012v4.pdf

Note also the three Appendices corresponding to Cyclist.ie's carefully researched Fact Sheets on several aspects of cycling planning and debates around cyclist safety:

(i) Why set 30 km/h speed limits in urban areas for motorised traffic? /sites/dublincycling.ie/files/users/9/factsheet-30km_h-limits-08-05-12.pdf

(ii) Bicycle-helmet wearing  /sites/dublincycling.ie/files/users/9/helmetfact-sheetv7-06-02-12_0.pdf

(iii) Cyclist.ie's National Cycling Promotion document: /sites/dublincycling.ie/files/users/9/cyclist.ie_national_cycling_promotion_policy_2008_0.pdf

Thanks to all of the professional researchers from within Cyclist.ie groups for their terrific pro bono work.  If you have any comments on the submission or the fact sheets (or, even better, if you would like to volunteer to help research another topic or policy area for us - or review the latest version of our "Roadside cycilng facilities" doc**), do please contact us - either at an upcoming Dublin Cycling Campaign meeting (http://www.dublincycling.ie/next-meeting) or by email to info@dublincycling.ie or on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/dublincycling .  Thank you!
