Brigit by Bike

Brigit by Bike is a pageant in the first ever Brigit festival parade as part of Brigit: Dublin City Celebrating Women, an initiative supported by Dublin City Council. The parade will take place on the bank holiday Monday 5th February from 4:00 to 6:00 PM in the north city centre. Brigit by Bike is created by Artist Donna Cooney working with Dublin Cycling Campaign. Donna has worked on other pageants for the Saint Patrick’s Day parade since 2018 including ‘The Freedom Machine’ ‘Joyce-Cycle’ and ‘Bikes and Biodiversity’. This is the first ever Brigit’s parade with up to 60 participants on bicycles featuring front and centre in the parade. The parade will also include 50 roller skaters, wheelers and walkers. The event will conclude with a spectacle at the GPO. If you are a Campaign member and would like to participate please complete this application form by 5pm on Tuesday 23rd January.
