Bicycling Shenanigans at Electric Picnic 2017

For the 9th year in a row, bicycle campaigners and artists joined forces with other activists and advocates in the Global Green area of Electric Picnic.

There was colossal interest amongst EP punters who dropped by in all that is going on in cycle campaigning – and in the ways in which we can bring about a more bicycle friendly Ireland. We’ll be contacting everyone who left their details with us soon. The special session on the Imminent Bicycle Revolution with Roisín Garvey and Damien Ó Tuama attracted further interest in what’s happening in bicycle advocacy.

We were thrilled that Senator Grace O’Sullivan dropped by to the Bicycle Space a few times over the weekend – and it was also enlightening to hear her speak at the ‘Surfing the Waves of Change’ session in Global Green on Sunday evening. Grace is pictured above (on the right) with her daughter Emer (middle) and Roisín Garvey from the Bicycle Crew.

Dublin Cycling Campaign wishes to pay a sincere thanks to our colleagues and collaborators at EP 2017 – and especially Cork Cycling Festival, An Taisce’s Green Schools, Lucan Community Cycling, Cyclist.ie and the amazing Goldsprints DJs for their tunes and bicycle racing! A big thanks also to the crew from Cultivate for everything in the run up to and at EP 2017.
