The Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown branch of the Dublin Cycling Campaign is organising a family-friendly cycle in Blackrock, similar to The Metals Family Fun Cycle back in May of this year.

Join us for a fun community cycle through Blackrock Park, past Booterstown marsh to Merrion Gates and back again. A leisurely 4km cycle for all ages and abilities. A reward awaits all those who complete the full loop! The cycle will start and finish at the Blackrock Park bandstand.

All “cycles” welcome: bikes, balance bikes, trishaws, rickshaws, trikes, recumbents, e-bikes, cargo bikes & more! There will be marshals on the day to keep the group safe for the on-road section. All participants under 18 should be under parent/guardian supervision.

We are collaborating with DLR County Council as part of the Festival of Inclusion 2019. The theme is “Celebrating the Generations” and we hope you will bring along friends, family and neighbours from all generations. Whether they’ve just lost the stabilisers or haven’t cycled in years, time to get out now and enjoy the fresh air along our stunning coast line.

Who are the organisers? Cycling Without Age Ireland is a Danish concept, in which residents of nursing homes are taking out on cycling trips on trishaw bikes piloted by volunteers. Want to know more?
