Sustainable Project in West Dublin & Meath NEEDS YOUR HELP!

West Dublin Project NEEDS YOUR HELP!

Fingal and Meath County Councils have joined together to develop an important sustainable transport / bus corridor project. It runs alongside and across the spine of the N3 national route between Clonee and the M50.

This project, as you can see from the Fingal Council N3 webpage, is at the early stages of development. It proposes to give priority to public transport along this N3 spine, and improve active travel facilities by building two new active travel bridges across the N3 and improving the conditions on an existing bridge.

You would expect that this project is a no-brainer to be developed! But No! Already, even at this early stage of development, a number of local residents’ groups have got together to encourage local residents to object to the active travel elements of the project, on the basis that they will bring in ‘undesirable elements’ to their area, and put their area at risk. At present there are over 140 objections to this project proposal even at this early development stage with no specific details agreed!

THIS PROJECT NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT TO HELP IT TO PROGRESS!
DON’T LET THE NAYSAYERS HAVE THEIR WAY!

We, in Dublin Cycling Campaign, strongly suggest you send in a short supportive submission via the N3 Webpage welcoming and fully supporting these proposals of bus priority and active travel developments on and across the N3 between Clonee and the M50.

In Dublin Cycling Campaign we look forward to seeing the detailed design of the proposed final scheme, which will prioritise sustainable transport and provide important active travel links across the N3 route. Please use your own word variation in making any supportive submission!

SUBMISSIONS CAN BE MADE UP TO MIDNIGHT ON MONDAY NEXT 18TH MAYGET WRITING!!
