133% increase in walking and 40% increase in cycling since they redesigned scholarstown roundabout.

A recent report ( attached below) has been published by the NTA highlighting increased cycling and walking at the recently upgraded roundabout in Scholarstown road. They have measured an impressive 133% increase in walking and 40% increase in cycling since they redesigned the roundabout. There has also been a 7.8% drop in traffic during the morning peak period. This was measured in Jan/Feb so further increases are likely as the weather improves. This was reported previously on IrishCycle.com website https://irishcycle.com/2018/12/10/dublin-councillor-objects-roundabout-r…

A local residence group Scholarstown Road/Orlagh Roundabout Traffic-Watch who have opposed the upgrades have been granted an independent review.

Please keep in mind which Councillors opposed this upgrade and make sure not to vote for them on May 24th local elections.
