Bulging Bike Parks at the 2026 Rose Festival in St. Anne’s Park!
Dublin Cycling Campaign was thrilled to be back at the Rose Festival in St Anne’s Park over the weekend of 18-19 July 2026 – and to be partnering up with Dublin City Council’s Parks Department to provide secure bike parking for festival-goers!
Volunteers from the Campaign enjoyed spectacular sunshine across the weekend and had great conversations with cyclists and festival‑goers. It was a brilliant opportunity to share what Irish Cycling Campaign (and its Dublin Cycling Campaign Local Group) does and to outline local Dublin City Council Active Travel Programme Projects (such as the Oscar Traynor Road - Kilbarrack and Vernon Avenue - Clontarf Road schemes), and of course to listen to the local issues that matter to cyclists and potential cyclists in the area. We estimate that there were in excess of 300 cyclists / passengers on board the bicycles over the full weekend.
Commenting on the weekend, Aisling Jones, Dublin Cycling Campaign’s Executive Committee Member who coordinated the bike parking, said “we were delighted to be invited to team up again with Dublin City Council to provide such an appreciated amenity for those attending the event. It was great to see such a variety of bikes and cyclists over the weekend — it really shows that when good facilities are provided, they will be used.”
A huge thank you to all the volunteers who gave their time across the weekend — your support made the bike parking possible and helped to ensure the event was bike‑friendly.
Finally, do keep an eye on our Dublin Cycling Campaign website here for announcements of more events taking place later in the summer and in the autumn.
