Planning Dublin's Cycle Network

Monday, 11 March 2013 (All day)
The Central Hotel

Séamus Mac Gearailt, Director in Roughan O Donovan (ROD) Engineering, presented on “Planning Dublin’s Cycle Network”. Séamus is a Fellow of Engineers Ireland, an avid cyclist and team leader of the joint ROD / Aecom study on a future cycle network for the Greater Dublin Area (GDA). His presentation delved into the research and thinking underpinning the development of the proposed network spanning seven Local Authority areas. According to Séamus, the proposed network has the potential to revolutionise the development of cycling in the GDA and his talk considered the potential improvement of commuter routes, inter-urban connections and ‘green’ corridors. A sincere thanks to Séamus for giving over his time to speak. We hope to upload a copy of his presentation here soon.
