'Cycling With...' series & Tackling Bike Theft - Discussion

Monday, 12 August 2013 (All day)
Central Hotel, Exchequer Street, Dublin 2. 1st Floor

At our August meeting we are having a great presentation by filmmaker Paddy Cahill of ‘Cycling with…,’, a series of video interviews all filmed from a bike while cycling around Dublin and Amsterdam. The ‘Cycling with…’ team describe themselves as “on a mission to show the social side of urban cycling” and upload a new film to their blog once a month. So far they have interviewed a broad range of people, including Architectural Historian Ellen Rowley, Artist Amanda Coogan and the former long time Mayor of Amsterdam, Job Cohen. The project is made by Cycling Campaign members Paddy Cahill & Philip de Roos. Paddy spoke about the project but also more broadly about how video can help Cycling Campaigners get their message across. You can watch all their films up to date at their blog or read a recent Irish Times article about them.
