Dublin City Council is hosting this year’s conference in the Convention Centre Dublin from June 25th to 28th.

If numbers are similar to the last European Velo-city in Arnhem-Nijmegen, it could be hoped that there will be between 1,500 to 2,000 delegates from all over the world

A provisional programme has been published, which should give some indication of the material covered over the course of the 4 days.

Being a conference aimed at professionals and public and civil servants, the registration fees are at the high end. Especially from the point of view of non-profits and advocacy groups. Though do note it is a full four day programme where food and refreshments are provided throughout.

A grant has been offered to support a number of volunteers of Dublin Cycling Campaign to attend. It is still to be determined exactly how the funds will be best allocated.

Please tell us your proposed involvement with Velo-city Dublin 2019. The answers submitted will be made available to members of the Dublin Cycling Campaign committee.

PS If you would like to host a delegate from another cycling advocacy group or non-prifit, please check Warm Showers

PPS Everyone, please keep Wednesday 26th June free in your diary, for a massive, free, family-friendly cycle parade
